Ma Yen Mountain

Located in the complex of cultural and historical vestige of Hoa Lu imperial city, Ma Yen is right in front of King Dinh Tien Hoang temple.

Ma Yen Mountain

Ma Yen Mountain is about 200m high with two peaks rising up like the saddle. It is said that King Dinh Bo Linh chose Hoa Lu to be the imperial city in 968 for the tough area and chose Ma Yen Mountain to be the base. Therefore, after he passed away, people carry his body to the top of the mountain like a way of admitting his merit for Vietnam’s history. That immortal person is still like sitting in the saddle and helping his country and people.

Crossing 265 stair cases to the top of Ma Yen Mountain, visitors could offer the incense stick to the mausoleum of King Dinh Tien Hoang, and witnessing the free broad land ò Hoa Lu ancient imperial city.
